Types of Data

When you access our Service, you are anonymous unless you choose to identify yourself. You are not required to provide personal information, unless a feature requires it.
Personal data that you do provide us will be required in these contexts:
- When registering for a mybluecross account, we collect your MBC account information, full name, birth date, address information, email address and account login credentials
- When submitting claims through mybluecross, we collect banking information to reimburse claims through direct deposit
- When purchasing Individual Travel insurance, we collect your full name, address, email address and payment information
- When you fill out online forms to Contact Us, request quotes, or schedule appointments, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, birth date, MBC account information and anything you provide us to answer your question and/or assist with the quote process
2. Usage Data
We may collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device ("Usage Data").
This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
3. Cookies and Web Beacons
- Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Manitoba Blue Cross may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary:
- To comply with a legal obligation or protect against legal liability
- To meet regulatory requirements
- To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
