Counselling services are available to those who have Employee Assistance Program (EAP) or Individual Assistance Program (IAP) coverage with Manitoba Blue Cross. If you are unsure of your coverage, visit your mybluecross online account to confirm.

Connect Now is a temporary service during COVID-19 to provide immediate access to a mental health professional without the need for an appointment. The service is free and calls do not count as sessions under your benefits plan. The service is intended to provide immediate support for concerns that are brief in nature and for individuals who are not able to participate in ongoing counselling at this time. Concerns do not have to be related to COVID-19.

If you are in crisis, in need of immediate assistance or are experiencing thoughts of suicide, please do one of the following:

  • Call 911 or your local emergency services
  • Contact the Klinic Crisis Line at 204-786-8686 or 1-888-322-3019
  • Go to the emergency ward of your local hospital

Comprehensive problem assessment and short-term counselling, including the following areas:

*If you’ve experienced a loss during COVID-19, we will provide up to three, free counselling sessions. These sessions won’t count towards your allotted benefits and the loss doesn't have have to be related to COVID-19.

Addictions management

This confidential program provides assessment, treatment, and follow up for alcohol, drug, and other addictions via individual counselling and group treatment. We specialize in addictions complicated by depression, panic and anxiety, family dynamics, abuse, and stress.

Psychiatric consultation

Specialized services include access to psychiatric consultation through the Employee Assistance Centre.

We provide multilingual, culturally sensitive counselling with the capacity to provide service in 150 languages. Our provider group is diverse and includes Indigenous counsellors, Elders and a dedicated Indigenous resource consultant. All intake and counselling staff complete extensive cultural-competency training.

Accessibility

We have providers located throughout rural and northern Manitoba. We offer access to support 24/7, 365 days a year. We offer a variety of alternate channels for counselling, including video, text-based and telephone options.
