Walk-in customer service centre re-opens; hours expand

Manitoba Blue Cross customer service centre with happy staff ready to serve clients.

As vaccinations increase and COVID-19 cases decrease in the province, the Manitoba Blue Cross walk-in customer service centre at 599 Empress Street in Winnipeg will re-open on August 30, 2021.

“We are so excited to see our members in-person once again and offer service in all the ways you want and need! For the health and safety of our clients and employees, we will be conducting thorough safety measures, including sanitizing between customers, and all employees will wear a mask,” says Christina Kenny, customer services manager with Manitoba Blue Cross.

Customers will also be required to wear a mask.

The hours of the centre have also expanded. The centre will be open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Previously the centre opened at 10 a.m. and was closed on Mondays.)

“Maintaining a high level of customer service for Manitobans has always been vital to Manitoba Blue Cross. We have increased our hours to better meet the evolving needs of our members and clients. This will also help maintain a lower capacity in the centre throughout the week for added safety,” says Kenny.

For comfort and convenience, members can also continue to access services and get plan information remotely by phoning in to our call centre at 204.775.0151 or 1.800.873.2583 (toll-free) on weekdays from 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., or logging in to their mybluecross® online account or mobile app.
