Manitoba Blue Cross donates $10,000 to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba

To support HSC Winnipeg’s new Children’s Heart Centre, Benjamin Graham, our President and CEO, was pleased to present a cheque for $10,000 to Stefano Grande, President and CEO of Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.

Currently, the foundation has raised $15.7 million of its initial $17.7 million goal in the first two phases of its capital campaign. Over the next few years, the foundation is looking to raise a total of $75 million.

The first phase raised funds for a new, world-class children’s heart clinic, new equipment and technology, new diagnostic libraries and more.

The second phase, which is almost fully funded, will help extend remote monitoring capabilities in all inpatient units. Remote monitoring allows the hospital team to keep a close eye on each patient in real time.

These upgrades will improve outcomes for young cardiac patients and their families throughout the province.
